Mother Teresa Villa
Mother Teresa Villa is a unique apartment complex in south Charlotte for adults with Intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who are able
to live independently with coaching and monitoring supports. Opened in 2015, the property is named in honor of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize winner who was a close friend of the third Bishop of Charlotte, the late William G. Curlin.
Located in the Steele Creek community off South Tryon Street, Mother Teresa Villa is a combined effort of the Diocese of Charlotte Housing Ministry and InReach, a Charlotte non-profit that provides residential support for people with developmental disabilities. The 11,752-square-foot facility features 13 apartment units with one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Amenities include an on-site manager.
