Archives and Records
The Office of Archives and Records is the official repository for the records of the Diocese of Charlotte. The role of the Archives is to identify, collect, preserve and make available all historically and canonically significant records, documents, artifacts and works of enduring value that pertain to the operation and history of the Diocese of Charlotte, its parishes, agencies, institutions and people.
Sacramental records
If you need assistance locating a sacramental record, please read the following before contacting our office:
- The Diocese of Charlotte does not issue certificates for baptism, first Holy Communion, or other sacraments. If you would like a certificate, please contact the church where the sacrament was received. Search our parish directory.
- If you are looking for a complete record of all sacraments that you have received, please contact the church where you were baptized.
For further assistance or if you have additional questions, please contact us below.
School records
Diocesan schools maintain their own records. To obtain a student record from a diocesan school still in operation, contact the school directly. Search our school directory.
