For Children
- Alive in Christ: OSV’s Alive in Christ curriculum for grades 1-8 intentionally and systematically evangelizes, equips, supports and affirms catechists, children and families. Also available in Spanish.
- Discover! Finding Faith In Life: St. Mary’s Press presents a faith formation curriculum filled with exciting, energetic learning that will get kids out of their seats as they excitedly dive into the Bible and the teachings of the Church.
- Faith and Life (Ignatius Press): Catholic Faith Technologies (My Catholic Faith Delivered) and Ignatius Press offer free online faith formation. Free Faith and Life courses for students preparing for confirmation, first Holy Communion or enrolled in on-site religious education.
- Magnifikid (ages 6-12): Includes readings and prayers from Sunday Mass with explanations of the prayers, responses and rituals, as well as suggested daily prayers, games, comics and activities, and a page for parents.
- Spirit of Truth: Spirit of Truth by Sophia Institute for Teachers offers a full year of varied lesson plans, enabling you to create an active learning environment that engages students while helping them to improve knowledge retention.
For Middle School
- Catholic Connections: This series by St. Mary’s Press fosters the faith of young adolescents and helps them to make connections between the Catholic faith and everyday life.
- Edge: Online support resources from LifeTeen Inc.
- Spirit of Truth: Sophia Institute for Teachers’ new K-8 religious education program takes your students on an immersive and memorable journey through the Catholic faith. The engaging session plans and activities will give you the confidence needed to create an engaging environment that students look forward to each week.
For High Schoolers and Youth Ministers
- Free Life Teen Webinars.
- Set Free Retreats: Lead by Benedictine College Youth Outreach (BCYO), a student ministry retreat team that travels to parishes to give junior high, high school and confirmation retreats.
- Life Teen: Online support resources.
- ProjectYM: Provides a weekly live youth night.
- VCAT: Provides free short films based on the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Includes a discussion guide for catechetical leaders, teachers and youth ministers.
- ODB: Offers short films for teens.
- Bible Project: Offers free illustrated videos. (Note: This is a great Christian resource, but it is not Catholic. Points of Catholic doctrine may need to be further clarified.)
- OYMNY: YouTube channel from the Archdiocese of New York. Provides informational/helpful videos for youth ministers.
