Online educational resources abound for adults and families who want to learn more about the Catholic faith and deepen their relationship to Jesus Christ. Here are several options that offer free or low-cost access:
- Augustine Institute – Based in Colorado, the Augustine Institute strives to further the New Evangelization through graduate classes, video productions, short courses, study programs, books, talks, and multimedia resources to help people better understand the Catholic faith.
- Ascension Press – A leading Catholic publisher of books, videos, apps, podcasts, Bible studies, and instructional materials centered around faith formation for people of all ages. Producer of the hugely popular “The Bible in a Year” and “The Catechism in a Year” podcasts with Father Mike Schmitz.
- Formed – Produced by the Augustine Institute, Formed has high-quality audio content, VOD movies and documentaries, ebooks, and family-friendly kids’ programming. Many parishes in the Diocese of Charlotte offer free subscriptions for their parishioners: call your parish office to learn more.
- Institute of Catholic Culture – Free online adult Catholic education programs covering a broad spectrum of topics in the Catholic liberal arts, including theology, philosophy, history, scripture, literature, catechetics and more.
- Our Sunday Visitor – Publisher of books, podcasts, multimedia content, home-based faith formation materials, and the monthly kids’ magazine OSV Kids, among other resources.
