Hosted by the Spiritual Intercessors, of Our Lady of Consolation, over 200 guests came together June 16th 2018 to celebrate Deacon Curtiss P. Todd on the 30th anniversary of his ordination to the diaconate as well as his continued service to Our Lady of Consolation Parish

Tolton: From Slave to Priest, a powerful one-man drama performed by actor Jim Coleman of Saint Luke Productions will be presented at The Great Aunt Stella Center on Friday, June 7 at 7:30pm and Saturday, June 8 at 3 and 7:30pm. Encounter Father Augustus Tolton, the first African American priest, and be inspired by his compelling story of courage and reconciliation.

Opportunities to reflect on themes offered in the November 2018 Pastoral Letter Against Racism “Open Wide Our Hearts – the Enduring Call to Love” issued by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. These events, to be held in Morganton on May 6, Charlotte on May 11, Asheville on May 23, and Greensboro on June 15, are a collaborative effort by Catholic Charities, the Diocesan of Charlotte African American Affairs Ministry, and the Sisters of Mercy.
