This pilgrimage is more than a trip — it is an opportunity to deepen your faith, encounter Christ through the global Church, and celebrate with young Catholics from around the world.
Participants will take part in prayer, catechesis, Masses, youth festivals, and special events with the Holy Father while exploring the rich culture and beauty of Korea.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Depart the United States
Begin your pilgrimage journey to Seoul, South Korea.
Day 2 – Arrival in Seoul
Arrive at Incheon International Airport and transfer to your hotel.
Welcome Mass and group dinner.
Day 3 – Explore Seoul
Free morning to explore the city before the official opening of World Youth Day.
Day 4 – Opening Mass
Opening Mass celebrated by the Archbishop of Seoul.
Day 5 – Catechesis and Youth Festival
Morning catechesis sessions with bishops from around the world.
Afternoon youth festival events.
Day 6 – Stations of the Cross
Final catechesis sessions and evening Stations of the Cross with the Holy Father.
Day 7 – Pilgrimage Walk and Vigil
Pilgrimage walk (12–15 miles) to the vigil site.
Evening vigil prayer with Pope Leo XIV.
Day 8 – Papal Mass
Closing Mass celebrated by the Pope.
Day 9 – Free Day in Seoul
Explore Seoul and enjoy a farewell dinner.
Day 10 – Return Home
Transfer to the airport and depart for the United States.

Make the most of your trip to Korea by extending your pilgrimage and exploring the rich history of the Catholic Church in Korea.
Roots of Korean Catholicism (2 Days)
Visit the peaceful sanctuary of Chon Jin Am, nestled in the mountains where early Korean scholars first encountered the Catholic faith. Continue to Mirinae Shrine, the burial place of St. Andrew Kim Tae-gon, the first Korean Catholic priest.

Pilgrimage registration will open Spring 2026.
Young adults age 18-35. Please note that those younger than 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Leading up to WYD, the Diocese of Charlotte will offer community building and faith formation opportunities for participants as we prepare to be united with millions of our brothers and sisters in Christ from around the world. More information will be announced.
