Human Trafficking Awareness

Learn about the problem of human trafficking in North Carolina at “Stop Human Trafficking – Learn and Take Action,” a special program being held Saturday morning, Nov. 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Salisbury, sponsored jointly by Catholic Charities Diocese of Charlotte and the Sisters of Mercy.

Begin the day with daily Mass at 8 a.m., followed by a continental breakfast. The program begins at 9:30 a.m. and will end at 12:30 p.m. Presentations, a panel discussion by local experts and a Q&A will focus on sharing the current realities of human trafficking in North Carolina and ways of stopping this horrific crime.

Because of the subject matter of this event, it is recommended that attendees be at least 16 years old. Parental discretion is advised.
