For people experiencing grief, a lost job, loneliness or other painful circumstances, it can be difficult to join in the holiday cheer. Join us for this special Mass Dec. 21 at St. Peter Catholic Church, offered to provide comfort and encouragement. While a service of this type has been found in Protestant churches, it is now beginning to be offered in Catholic worship. The Mass will be held on the Winter Solstice, the day with the shortest amount of daylight. The hymns, prayers and readings for the liturgy are purposely chosen to be more reflective.
