Compassion Fatigue & Stress Management for Those Working in Ministry.

Join Catechetical Leaders from around the Diocese of Charlotte as we continue the discussion on Mental health and Catholic leaders.  Shannon Yarrington will facilitate a conversation on Compassion Fatigue & Stress Management for those working in Ministry.  Her presentation will include defining trauma, secondary trauma, and compassion fatigue, signs and symptoms, personal assessments and well as self-care plans.  

Shannon Yarrington resides with her husband and four daughters in Waynesville, North Carolina. She and her husband Eric are currently in diaconal aspirancy with the Diocese of Charlotte. They are members of St. John the Evangelist Church in Waynesville. Shannon received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Western Carolina University and her Master’s in Psychology from Divine Mercy University. She is a Certified Clinical Traumatologist through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology. Her private practice, Little Ways, offers faith-based support for clients looking to heal, grow, and flourish in their vocations. She and her husband also own and operate a functional fitness gym.Date:         Thursday, March 9, 2023
