Mission Statement

The Mission of the Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Charlotte is to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel and to provide a religious and academic program that allows each student to develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially, so that each is prepared to live and serve in a changing society as a self-respecting citizen.

We provide a quality Catholic education at 19 schools throughout the Diocese of Charlotte.

These schools are in 3 separate formats:

Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools

A centralized, regional system of schools in the Charlotte area that includes 9 schools (2 high schools, 1 middle school, 4 elementary schools, some with PK and TK, and 2 K-8 schools).  For admissions, contact the Director of Admissions at (704) 370-3273

Diocesan & Parish-based schools

This includes 9 schools serving kindergarten through 8th grade and in some instances pre-school. While each school is part of the Diocese of Charlotte Catholic schools they are directly tied to, and administered by, a corresponding parish. Bishop McGuinness is a Diocesan-based Catholic High School in Kernersville. For admissions contact the individual school – contact numbers are on the school listings.
