On May 18, 1877 Fr. Michael McInerney, OSB was born in Pennsylvannia. He attended Seminary at Belmont Abbey and was ordained in 1907 after joining the Benedictine Community there. Fr. McInerney designed buildings for the Abbey as well as churches and schools up and down the east coast. He was not only an architect but also a professor, a pastor and of course, a monk. Fr. Michael fell asleep in the Lord on March 3, 1963 - may his memory be eternal!
